It is heard over and over again on right wing media networks the accusation that the media in general is bias toward Barack Obama. Republican followers express dissatisfaction with the media outlets over not presenting the negative aspects that are circulating on the Internet about Obama. They attack media giants like CNN, and MSNBC because they don’t broadcast the stories that depict Obama as being a socialist, a terrorist, unpatriotic and a none US citizen. However, they are most at fault because those accusations never surfaced when Obama was trailing in the polls.
It is very funny that when McCain was on top in the polls, those accusations never surfaced. Right wing media outlets were silent and entertained with McCain’s maverick decision of choosing Mrs. Palin as his running mate. There was no Obama is a terrorist, or socialist (especially on the important conservative media outlet Foxnews). They were only concerned with Obama’s inexperience and his unreadiness to lead. Nevertheless, when Obama’s lead began to increase, they realized that they were going to have to look for dirt, wherever possible, in order to rescue their campaign.
They adopted the politics of their enemy number one President Bush. President Bush nationwide approval rating was at 20%. The lowest in the history of the United States. It was their worst decision. They failed to distance themselves from one of the worst presidents that the United States has ever seen (My opinion is that, in reality, Cheney is the main one to fault). President Bush (Cheney) destroyed the US Global reputation in order to protect their self-interest (rich people interests). Moreover, he destroyed the economy and the most precious gift Americans have, their liberty. They socialized the American economy by imposing a totalitarian government that only responded to the cries of the wealthy 5% while the rest was going down the drain.
Now, Obama is the socialist. Nevertheless, we should truly ask ourselves once again what is really socialism? According to Wikipedia, for those that don’t know: Socialism refers to a broad set of economic theories of social organization advocating state or collective ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and the creation of an egalitarian society.[1][2] It does not talk about tax increases being part of a socialist state. It talks about the government taking over people’s possessions and redistributing them to others. It is strange that President Bill Clinton was not called a socialist when he increased taxes or President George H. W. Bush (Senior) when he raised taxes after uttering that famous phrase, “Read My Lips: No New Taxes.”
If John McCain is deprived of this election, there is only one person to blame and it is President George W. Bush. He received a wealthy country after the controversial 2000 election against Al Gore and will leave a bankrupt country upon finishing his final term in office. It can’t come as a surprise that McCain is trailing in the polls and is likely to lose this election. The Republicans did it to him. They once again destroyed McCain’s chances of becoming the next president of the United States. Bush destroyed his chances in 2000 after employing the same techniques McCain is using now against Barack Obama. According to Wikipedia, President Bush employed controversial poll questions phrased negatively toward McCain to win South Carolina. [48]
In conclusion, it is important for republicans to look in the mirror and discover who really is to blame for McCain’s vicissitudes. Liberals are not at all at fault. Liberals are trying to accomplish what any democratic country longs for, a change in government. This is regardless of the fact that an African American man might end up being the next president of the United States.
