Obama is not the First Victim of Personal Attacks: John F. Kennedy was also Victimized.

29 10 2008

In the video below, John F. Kennedy made it very clear that his religion background was not the issue for the 1960 election. Americans were facing greater difficult challenges for him to concentrate on his religion instead of talking about the well being of the country and its citizens.

Thus, the same thing is happening now. There are some people who think that making stuff up and calling people names is more important than talking about the real issues that Americans are facing today.

“John F. Kennedy: Religion is not the issue!”

McCain and the Right last Attempt to Instill Fear in Americans!

29 10 2008

It is the last chance that the GOP and the McCain campaign have to instill fear in Americans. All ammunitions have been used except this radio address where Obama talks about ‘redistributive change.’ The latter is taken out of context by the GOP and the McCain campaign to mean redistribution of wealth. READ UPDATE.

AP: “Republican John McCain is misreading seven-year-old comments by rival Barack Obama about “redistributive change” to argue that the Democrat’s tax policy is built on “taking your money and giving it to someone else.” Read more.

Washington Post: “With just over a week to go until the election, the McCain campaign is stepping up its efforts to portray Barack Obama as a closet “socialist.”

“Obama Bombshell Audio Uncovered. He wants to Radically Reinterpret the Constitution to Redistribute Wealth!!” runs the YouTube headline from the conservative video blog Naked Emperor News.” “This video exposes the radical beneath the rhetoric.”

“On closer inspection, the ‘bombshell audio’ turns out to be a rather wonkish, somewhat impenetrable, discussion of the Supreme Court under Earl Warren. Obama, then a University of Chicago law professor and Illinois state senator, argued that the courts have traditionally been reluctant to get involved in income distribution questions. He suggested that the civil rights movement had made a mistake in expecting too much from the courts — and that such issues were better decided by the legislative branch of government.” Read more here.

LATEST UPDATE: “McCain Funded Work Of Palestinian His Campaign Hopes To Tie To Obama (Rashid Khalidi).” “During the 1990s, while he served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), McCain distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi, including one worth half a million dollars.”

Sadly, everything indicates that the above schemes are working and Americans will be faced with four more years of Republican politics coming out of the White House.
