Update: A newly discovered Obama’s birth announcement, published in the Honolulu Advertizer periodical, might make the case more difficult to prove for those who still don’t want to believe that Obama is a natural born citizen.
According to Wikileaks, the Honolulu Advertiser announced Barack Obama’s Aug 4, 1961 birth. It was published on August 13, 1961 on page B-6. It is available only on microfilm in Hawaii libraries. You could see a photocopy of the microfilm by clicking on this link. The announcement is the 4th from the bottom of the left hand column.
The Oxford American Dictionary defines obsession as a noun, which means a state of being obsessed with someone or something or an idea or thought that continually preoccupies or intrudes on a person’s mind. The latter is the best explanation to those who still believe that Obama’s birth certificate is not real. However, for those that need images and voices to understand and grasp reality, the following video of Bill O’reilly should help them in relinquishing their obsession.
I agree with him. I have never seen a real birth certificate for Obama.
It should be Obama’s “obsession” to comply with a normal request for legitimate information, and not force people to repeatedly ask him for something simple…..
O we believe Obama’s birth certificate is real, just not a certificate of live birth for the State of Hawaii.
If Obama did in fact have a certificate of live birth for the State of Hawaii he would show it, but he won’t BECAUSE HE DOESN’T HAVE ONE.
Your definition of obsession is correct, however, your application of it towards those who are seeking the truth is incorrect.
Nice try at propaganda though.
Missing from your argument is the fact that most of the greatest minds and inventors were men obsessed with an idea or thought that continually preoccupied their mind, Albert Einstein to name one, who obesessed with his ideas until he came up with the theory of relativity. Newton, another. And basically every great artist.
So obsession is not inherently bad as you imply it is some sickness. It is only becomes sick when it has no reason. Not in this case here, as there is plenty of reason Obama is not a natural born US citizen. And the fact is that Obama will not prove himself. Of course, anyone with even minimal capability of thought can deduce that if he could, he simply would.
But he cannot so he will not.
On the contrary, your implications of obsession best fits to describe those who are so smitten and obsessed with Obama that they don’t even want to know the truth.
It is a obsession because even if he presents a real birth certificate, you will say that it is a fake one. There lies the difference. Hawaii officials have said that they have inspected the original certificate in their possession and talk to its originality. He was the son of an American woman what else you need. McCain was born in Panama and I don’t see you arguing his integrity.
McCain was different. He presented all his paperwork upon request.
Obama has refused to do so.
We see no proof that what Obama has is real, and indicates he was born in USA. If he was born of an American, in another country, he has to go through the naturalization process.
My brother had to do this. He was born in Libya, when my father was stationed there in the military.
Since Hawaii is a blue state, it would help to have several people examine the paperwork to be objective.
Also, you can be born outside the USA, and then get a certificate when you return. But you are not officially a citizen until you are naturalized.
There appears to be conflicting paperwork saying that Obama was born in Kenya. That is the reason for the inquiry. His mother may not have understood the rules, since she was so young.
The supreme court hearing for this is Dec 1st, I think. We will let the judges decide. Since you like Obama, hope things go in his direction.
It is not about liking Obama. It is about seeing thing for what they are. I wish the Supreme Court goes through with it and makes him reveal the birth certificate.
When it happens, and is demonstrated that he is a Natural born citizen, the same people are going to say that he still is not a natural born citizen because he spent time in indonesia, and therefore, must had relinquish his US citizenship. Then, they will go to Indonesia to see if his mother did relinquish her citizenship and they will say no and then something else will be brought up.
It never ends. But, I like it because give us things to talk about it.
It will never end..
There lies the difference between good obsession and bad obsession…
hi jorgipogi
Well, personally , I hope Obama is legitimate, not because I like him, but because this sort of thing is stressful for all concerned. Our country is so fragile right now, with every bit of negative news sending the market into a plunge. We need some positive news for a change.
